Liudmyla Mashchenko - managing Partner, Mariupol.

Ms. Mashchenko has been practicing law more than 35 years.

Upon graduation from Kharkiv Institute of Law in 1973 with Jurisprudence Specialist diploma, she worked in the municipal authorities in Luhansk (Voroshilovhrad) Region, and then as in-house lawyer and as a notary.

In 1976 she had been elected to the position of judge in Pervomaisk District Court of Luhansk Region, and in 1982 moved to Mariupol (Zhdanov) to serve as a judge of the Zhovtnevy District Court.

In 1986 Liudmila Mashchenko was invited to work in the Legal Department of Azov Shipping Company, which at that moment operated all ports of the Sea of Azov, ship repairing yards, Kerch Ferry, and 133 ships. In addition to extensive maritime law practice obtained during her work at the shipping company, Ms. Mashchenko received relevant training at the Dolfin agency company in Italy.

In 1996 Liudmila Mashchenko became a partner and one of the founders of the MBLS law firm.

Liudmila Mashchenko is one of the best maritime law specialists in Ukraine. In 1995, she was a member of advisory group on drafting of the Trade Shipping Code of Ukraine.

In 1996 Liudmila Mashchenko led the team of MBLS lawyers to develop and successfully enforce, for the first time in Ukraine, an arrest of the sea trade ship on the territory of Ukraine (port Mariupol).

Ms. Mashchenko is a licensed attorney-at-law.

Taras Tertychnyi - partner, Kyiv.

Taras Tertychnyi has more than ten years of experience in protection of interests and advising of companies and private persons.

On graduating from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Law School, he worked in the Konnov & Sozanovsky law firm (Kyiv) practicing commercial and real estate law.

From 2004 to 2010 Taras Tertychnyi worked as an associate, and senior associate in the Kyiv office of international law company Magisters. In particular, as a senior associate in the international litigation and arbitration practice of the firm, Mr. Tertychnyi has led dispute resolution projects in various jurisdictions, including work with law firms and other service suppliers in the USA, Europe, Latin America and Caribbean region, CIS countries. This work also included advice on questions of Ukrainian law and procedures for use in foreign courts and arbitration tribunals.

Languages: fluent English, Ukrainian, and Russian.

Andrei Mashchenko - partner, Kyiv-Mariupol.

Andrei Mashchenko has more than ten years of experience in the field of international law.

Mr. Mashchenko works with MBLS since 1999. The main directions of his work were protection of investors in building projects, collection of debts in Ukraine and abroad, seizure and release from seizure of the sea ships in Ukraine.

Under command of Andrei Mashchenko in 2002, for the first time in Ukraine, arrested of a foreign trade ship was applied in a Ukrainian port as a provisional remedy for a claim which has been filed in a foreign jurisdiction.

In 2006 Mr. Mashchenko received Master's Degree in International Law from the Institute of International Relations at the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

Since 2008 to 2009 he was the principal litigator at the Kyiv office of the B.C.Toms & Co. law firm.

Since 2004 he is a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA).

Mr. Mashchenko speaks languages: fluent English, Ukrainian, and Russian.

Mr. Mashchenko holds an attorney-at-law license.

Elena Fedotova - counselor, Mariupol.

Elena Fedotova is more than 20 years experienced lawyer. She is a principal adviser to companies for the legal support of their economical activity.

Elena Fedotova graduated from Donetsk State University in 1986 with degree of a lawyer. In 1986 and 1987 Ms. Fedotova received relevant training in Ordzhonikidzevckyi District Court of Mariupol as a judge assistant.

In 1989 she was employed as a legal adviser in Scientific-technical cooperative «Iskra», Mariupol, one of the first no state enterprises in the former Soviet Union. The cooperative was engaged in elaboration of industrial equipment. One of the successes of Ms Fedotova has been collection from a consumer of the debt in the amount of 137 thousand Soviet roubles for the benefit of representing enterprise. In1990 Elena Fedotova moved to work on a position of a legal adviser of the rolling-press factory “Oktiabr” of the Ministry of Local Industry of the USSR. Ms Fedotova had prepared and supported the privatization of the enterprise and subsequent reorganization of it into collective enterprise. Factory “Octiabr” became one of the fist collective enterprises in the Soviet Union.

In April 1999 Elena Fedotova jointly with colleagues took part in foundation and became one of the members of the “Precedent” Bar of Advocates.

Starting from 2002 Elena Fedotova is a counselor of the MBLS for legal support of economical activity of enterprises and for resolution of the commercial disputes. In addition, Ms Fedotova advises in legal proceedings in general (civil) courts.

Ms. Fedotova holds an attorney-at-law license.
